Private beta · now taking applications

Build a better workplace — before it costs you.

Pulsory asks your team how things are really going — anonymously — then shows you exactly what to improve, from culture and communication to the policies you might be missing. So you can act early, while problems are small and cheap to fix.

See how it works

Free during the beta · Invite only · We'll be in touch within 2 working days

Completely anonymous

Your team will only be honest if it can't come back to bite them.

So we made sure no one — not their manager, not you, not even us — can ever see who said what. Here's how that works.

Who they are

Your employee list

Name Email

Used once — to send each person their own private survey link.

What they said

Their answers

No name No email

Stored with nothing that could ever point back to a person.

What you see

Grouped insights

Minimum 5 people per group

Always combined, never individual — so no one can be singled out.

The survey link is the only thing that ever connects a person to a survey — and it's never stored alongside their answers.

How it works

Set it up once. We handle the rest.

Four simple steps from your employee list to clear, useful insights.

📋
STEP 01

Add your team

Upload your employee list — or add people one by one. That's all we need to get going.

📨
STEP 02

They answer, anonymously

Each person gets their own private survey — an email link, or a QR code to scan for staff without email. A few minutes, on any device.

⚙️
STEP 03

We find the patterns

When the survey closes, Pulsory looks across every team and location to spot what matters.

💡
STEP 04

You get clear insights

Plain-English cards tell you what's happening, what it could cost you, and what to do next.

What you actually get

Not a wall of charts. A clear answer.

Most survey tools hand you graphs and leave you to figure it out. Pulsory tells you what's going on in plain English — and puts a real number on what it could cost you if you let it slide.

  • How serious it is — at a glance
  • What it could cost you, and how we worked that out
  • How sure we are, based on how many people replied
  • One clear thing you can do about it
Warning Growth & development

Your people can't see a future here

Employees don't see a clear way to grow with you. This hits hardest with the people who've been here 6 months to 3 years — the ones who've learned the job but don't yet see what's next.

What we measure

Six things that decide whether people stay.

A handful of quick questions on each — that's the whole survey.

01

The day-to-day job

Meaningful work, fair pay, the right tools, and a way to grow.

02

Their manager

Support, useful feedback, clear communication, and trust.

03

Their team

Feeling valued, included, and able to be themselves at work.

04

The company

Belief in where you're heading, pride, and walking the talk.

05

Trust & fairness

Fair decisions, equal pay for equal work, and safety to speak up.

06

Wellbeing & future

A manageable workload, flexibility, and hope for what's ahead.

Plus your own questions — add custom questions on anything specific to your business, scored and reported alongside the six core areas.

It doesn't stop at the insight

Do something about it — and see if it worked.

Most tools flag a problem and leave you there. Pulsory helps you act, then shows you whether it actually made a difference.

🎯

Turn it into a plan

Straight from an insight, create a task and assign it — with an owner and a due date — so a finding turns into action instead of getting nodded at and forgotten.

📈

Watch the score move

Next time round, see exactly what changed — “trust in leadership up 11 points” — so you know your effort actually landed.

🚩

Aim at a target

Set goals and track your People Score over time, with a clear view of what got better and what slipped since last cycle.

Built for real teams

Made for the way small businesses actually work.

Multiple sites, frontline staff, managers who each need their own view — Pulsory takes it in its stride.

🏢

Every site in one place

Run one location or twenty. See the whole business at a glance, drill into any single site, and compare them side by side.

No email? No problem

Staff without a work email just scan a QR code to take the survey — ideal for kitchens, floors and shop floors.

👤

The right view for each manager

Give area and site managers their own dashboard, scoped to just their people — with exactly the same anonymity protections.

Your data is safe with us

We take care of the personal details you trust us with.

Anonymity is one half of it. Keeping everything locked down is the other.

🔐

Encrypted, always

Everything is encrypted on its way to us and while it sits with us. Nothing travels or rests in the open.

☁️

Trusted infrastructure

Pulsory runs on Google's secure cloud — the same infrastructure that protects some of the world's biggest companies.

🛡️

UK GDPR aligned

We only collect what we need, we're clear about why, and your data is handled in line with UK data-protection law.

🚪

Names kept apart

The personal details you upload are stored separately from survey answers — and never shared or sold to anyone.

FAQ

Questions? We've got answers.

Everything you might want to know before you apply.

The beta & cost

Is it genuinely free during the beta?
Yes — completely. When you join, you get a full year of free access to the platform, no matter when the beta itself wraps up. No cost, no credit card, no setup fee. We're only taking on a limited number of businesses, and all we ask in return is your honest feedback.
Are there any hidden costs?
None. It's completely free to use — no setup fees, no per-employee charges, no add-ons, and no card on file. What you see is what you get.
What happens after the beta — will I be charged or locked in?
You get a full year of free access from the day you join, regardless of when the beta ends. Beyond that, we're still working out pricing — the aim is to keep it genuinely useful but accessible, balancing cost against the value it delivers. Whatever we land on, we'll give you plenty of warning well in advance — you'll never be charged by surprise or rolled into something you didn't choose.

What we measure

What exactly do you measure?
How your people really feel about working for you, across six areas of working life: their day-to-day job, their manager, their team, the company as a whole, trust & fairness, and wellbeing & future. Each is scored out of 100, giving you one headline People Score plus the detail of what's driving it.
Do you measure engagement only — or also burnout risk, management quality, wellbeing, fairness and culture?
All of it. Engagement is just one part. The six areas cover management quality, team belonging, company culture, trust and fairness, and wellbeing — including workload and flexibility, the early signs of burnout. You get a rounded picture, not a single vanity score.
How long is the survey, and how long does it take to complete?
Short. The full survey is 24 quick questions, and the regular check-ins in between are just 8. Most people finish in a few minutes, in one sitting, on whatever device they have to hand.
Can I add my own questions?
Yes. Alongside the six core areas, you can add your own custom questions to get feedback on things specific to your business — scored and reported just like the rest.

Anonymity & privacy

How is anonymity actually protected?
Answers are stored with no name, email, or anything that could point back to a person. The only link between an employee and a survey is their private invite, which is kept completely separate from their responses. On top of that, any group of fewer than five people is hidden entirely — so individuals can't be worked out.
Can I or my managers ever see how an individual answered?
No — never. You only ever see results grouped together, and only once at least five people have replied. Individual answers aren't visible to anyone: not managers, not you, not us. Managers also never see their own scores — only people above them do.
My team is small — can people still be identified?
No. Any group with fewer than five responses is automatically hidden — you'll see a note that it's withheld to protect anonymity, but never the scores underneath. A team of three never has its results shown, so no one can reverse-engineer how they answered.
Do you collect demographic data, and who can see it?
Only if the employee chooses to share it, and you can never see it individually. Optional details like age band or gender are entered by the employee themselves and kept separate — used only for grouped breakdowns (again, minimum five people), never to identify anyone.

Insights & action

What do the insights actually tell me?
Plain-English findings, not a pile of charts. Each one tells you what's happening, how serious it is, the supporting evidence behind it, what it's likely costing you, how confident we are and why, and one clear thing you can do about it.
How do I turn results into action?
Straight from an insight, you can create a task and assign it to someone, with an owner and a due date — turning a finding into a concrete action. Next cycle, Pulsory shows you whether the score actually moved, so you find out if what you did worked instead of guessing.
Can I track whether things actually improve over time?
Yes. Set goals and watch your People Score and each area trend over time, with a clear view of what's improved and what's slipped since last time. It's a trajectory, not a one-off snapshot.
You put a £ figure on problems — can I trust those numbers?
They're built from your own figures — like training and salary costs — combined with established UK research on what turnover and disengagement actually cost, drawing on sources like the ONS and CIPD. They're there to show the scale of a problem in terms that matter, and every insight shows its reasoning and a confidence level, so you can see how it was worked out rather than take it on trust.
Isn't this just going to tell me what I already know?
Sometimes it'll confirm a hunch — but now with evidence and a number behind it, which makes it far easier to act on. More often it surfaces things you can't see from where you sit: which teams are quietly struggling, what's driving it, and problems building long before they show up in who quits. And because it's anonymous, people tell you things they'd never say to your face.

Running the surveys

How often do surveys run?
On a simple yearly rhythm: a full survey each January, shorter check-ins in April, July and October, and a baseline when you first join or add a new site. Enough to keep a real pulse, without wearing people out.
Can I control the timing and frequency?
The core rhythm runs automatically so you don't have to remember it, and you choose how long each survey stays open (one to four weeks). You can also launch a baseline for a new site whenever you add one.
What if my employees don't have email addresses?
No problem. Staff without a work email can take the survey by scanning a QR code — ideal for kitchens, floors and shop floors. Either way, everyone gets a private, anonymous survey.
Do employees need to download an app or create a login?
No. They just open their link or scan a QR code, answer in a few minutes, and they're done. Nothing to install, no account, no password.
What if my team doesn't engage or response rates are low?
A few things are on your side: it's genuinely anonymous so people feel safe being honest, it's short, and it works for staff without email. We send reminders while a survey's open and show you your response rate — and because results only appear once at least five people reply, you're never acting on just a voice or two.

Setup & admin

What segmentation and filtering is available?
You can break results down by site, by department, and by groups like age, tenure or employment type — one dimension at a time, always subject to the five-person minimum. So you can see exactly where an issue sits without ever exposing individuals.
What admin work is required from me?
Very little. You set up once — add your team by uploading a list or adding people manually — and Pulsory handles the rest: sending surveys, chasing responses, scoring, and producing insights. After that, your job is simply reading them and deciding what to act on.
How long does it take to set up?
Usually around fifteen minutes. A short guided setup walks you through your company details, your sites and your team, then launches your first survey. You can save and pick it back up if you get interrupted.
Do I need HR expertise to get value from it?
No. It's built for owners and managers, not HR specialists. Everything's in plain English and every insight comes with a recommended action — so you always know what a result means and what to do next.
