Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This is a plain-English policy for the Pulsory marketing website (pulsory.co.uk). It is a working draft and should be reviewed by a data-protection professional before it is relied on.

This policy explains what information Pulsory collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the public website only. The Pulsory platform that customers log in to is governed separately.

Who we are

Pulsory provides anonymous employee surveys and insights for small and growing businesses in the UK. For anything to do with your data or this policy, contact us at hello@pulsory.co.uk.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you enter:

  • Apply for the beta: your name, company name, email address, and any message you add.
  • Contact us: your name, email address, and your message.
  • Nominate your employer: the company name, and optionally your email address, a location or website, and a message. Your email is optional and only used to keep you updated.

Analytics information. If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This is collected in an aggregated way and is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We use two kinds:

  • Strictly necessary storage. We store your cookie choice (accept or reject) in your browser so we do not ask again on every page. This is required for the site to work and needs no consent.
  • Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site usage. These are only set if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry or beta application.
  • To count nominations and, where appropriate, contact the nominated employer about Pulsory. We never tell an employer who nominated them.
  • To understand and improve how the website performs (only with your consent).

Legal basis

We rely on your consent for analytics cookies, and on our legitimate interests (and taking steps at your request) to respond to enquiries and applications you send us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site, who process data on our behalf:

  • Google Analytics — website usage measurement (only with consent).
  • Our web hosting and email provider — to host the site, store nominations, and deliver form submissions to us by email.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and application messages for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Nomination records are kept while they are useful for reaching out to employers during the beta. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. We delete information when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@pulsory.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
